Arctic installations

Utqiagvik, the "top of the world."  I live and work in this community on the shores of the Arctic Ocean six months out of the year.  An extraordinary place: unforgiving and spectacularly beautiful, violent and unsentimental. We have, with the permission of the Inupiat people who live here, dug clay from the bluffs overlooking the sea.  This unique characteristics of this clay have shaped the work that I make here.

Ross Lake Resort

A family touchstone

We've we've been coming to Ross Lake, a pristine jewel in the North Cascades,  for the past 15 years.  And, with the staff's blessing, we've been leaving small ceramic pieces with every visit. By now, we're nearing a hundred.

Bikini Creek installations

Bikini Creek looks out Eastward over the Carr Inlet, 60 miles Southwest of Seattle.
New ceramic works have been placed strategically about the 2 hectare grounds,  decorating gateways, critical infrastructure and our bespoke camper, the Casbah.
